Pastoral Care

Pastoral care for the sick is one of the most significant ways in which the members of the Body of Christ continue the healing ministry of Jesus. Pastoral care is the ministry of spiritual care. In faith, we come to know how much God loves us and this love of God continually renews and refreshes us. Holy Communion is a grace-giving sign of God’s constant, faithful love. As people of God, we need to share that grace-filled love with those who are not able to come to church. If you would like to receive Communion at home, please contact the parish office at (252) 261-4700.

Eucharist Ministers to the Sick is a vital ministry to ensure that those who are sick are aware of our love, and, even more importantly, keeping them connected to the sacramental life of the Church. If you are interested in bringing the Eucharist to our parishioners who are homebound, hospitalized, or restricted to a nursing facility, please contact Deacon Al Hallatt at aahallatt@verizon.net.

Prayer

The compassion and caring of the parishioners of Holy Redeemer by the Sea for the sick and homebound are truly a work of mercy. To be listed on the Parish Bulletin Prayer list, please contact the parish office at (252) 261-4700 or email hrbtskittyhawk@gmail.com. If you are unable to call, your next of kin or an immediate family member may do so on your behalf.

Special Intentions Book

Our Divine Mercy group is always ready to pray for your special intentions. We often receive prayer requests that do not fit within the parameters of our Bulletin Prayer list. To accommodate these requests, we have created a special book where intentions can be recorded. Our Divine Mercy community will remember these intentions in prayer during their weekly meetings. If you would like to have your intention included, please call Marcy Martin at (252) 261-7946.

For all other Pastoral Care needs, please contact the parish office.
